Direct Line is an easy to use system that allows you to communicate with many other wrecking yards by a web-based platform. All data is stored in our facility, so even if your computer goes down your data is guaranteed to be saved. Direct Line will provide contact between members to communicate and interact. We will NOT get involved with any sales between wrecking yards and we will NOT collect any commission. The wrecking yard will pay a set of fee on a month-to-month basis for Direct Line’s services. Any wrecking yard that tenders a non-sufficient funds check to another member will be immediately taken out of service, permanently: that yard will not do business on this circuit again.
If any wrecking yard is late on its payment to the other member, the system will automatically shut it down. If this occurs, a $3,000 deposit will be required; that will be the buying limit for that member for six months. If any member makes a late payment to Direct Line or to a member, that yard will lose credit buying privileges for six months. This can happen once a year, no exceptions. Any new member that joins Direct Line must be approved by the members; this is your network and it should be working for you, and for you only.

We have a full invoicing system that will do full customer list and collection automatically, using new state-of-the-art billing technology. When you sell an item to another member, the system will automatically calculate the due date and print a statement five days before the due date at the payor’s location. The system will send you a notification that we printed your statement at the payor’s location. The system will give the payor five extra days after the due date. If the payor does not pay you within five days after the due date, the system will automatically shut him out.

(NOTE: DIRECT LINE WILL ONLY COVER AN UNPAID INVOICE FROM ANY MEMBER ONE TIME EACH YEAR; IF A MEMBER DOES NOT PAY ON A SECOND OR SUBSEQUENT OCCASION, HE WILL BE TERMINATED FROM THE SYSTEM IMMEDIATELY AND PERMANENTLY.)

This is a state-of-the-art voice hotline, which has no limits on coverage. All the rules that apply on a teletype will also apply to the hotline. No backing, no profanity, and no pricing on an open circuit. You can talk privately off the main circuit on the hotline. You can also jump from one hot line to another hot line without extra cost to you. For example, if you run a part on your local line (e.g., San Diego) and nobody has it, you can jump to another line (e.g., Los Angeles) and run the parts there. This will give you a faster and cheaper way to locate parts for your customers.

This is a new sophisticated teletype which will make it easier to communicate with smart search technology. It will allow you to type, search, and reapply using only a single button on the same screen. An added feature is the inventory control/automated response: if you are not available to answer a particular request but you have the part in your inventory, the system will automatically answer the request and let your potential customer know that you have the part, even if you are not personally available to respond. You can also send and receive images directly from your computer and from the system when you are answering a request.

This is a complete part-by-part inventory system, which will guide you and help you to keep track of your inventory and help you to locate your parts. The inventory system will automatically answer anyone who is searching for parts even if you are not present. The public can search your inventory from our main website www.loseparts.com, or they can run a request to the line if they do not find anything in the yard’s inventory.

As a member of Direct Line you will get access to Car Fax. All members will get 12 mileage reports for free. After the 12th report you will be charged $3.00 (three U.S. dollars) for each mileage report. You can also request a full vehicle report (VHR).You will be charged $14 each VHR report, which will be added to your monthly service charge.
