Direct Line, also known as “LKQ” (Like Kind Quality) automotive search engine was founded and established by an Auto Recycler in 1999, originally called Hi-Teknet as a prototype communication tool between ARP’s (Auto Recycling Professionals). In 2000, Direct Line evolved and advanced into the perfect tool for the Auto Recycling Industry. In 2003, Direct Line introduced the first digital Hot Line. After five years of planning and engineering, Direct Line launched the invoicing and inventory system. We didn’t stop there; in 2012 the Direct Line team redesigned the entire system from ground up and launched a new UI (User interface) dashboard Server based technology to be more efficient and capable of being used on any platform. In the same year we launched world’s first smart phone apps on both platforms Android and Apple. Direct Line is constantly evolving, bringing new technologies and tools necessary for Auto Recycling Partners to succeed in their business by utilizing innovative and intelligent tools of the Direct Line system. But, we didn’t stop there either! We launched the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) decoding and inventory system via mobile devices. We are in the process of integrating a delivery system by mobile tablets, ”HQRFID” tracking, real time status of in-transit parts and an on screen signature invoicing system with our own custom built Mobile Exchange Protocol “MEP”. With the release of all these new technologies, Direct Line has evolved into a new, more powerful tool for the automotive community around the world. We are becoming the social media of automotive! Soon you will be able to use Direct Line for anything automotive, from finding an honest mechanic to solving a “DIY” problem in real time!
Direct Line is not just an ordinary “LKQ” parts locating system, but a one stop source for anything auto….MOTIVE. What’s your auto…..MOTIVE? We have it all here! Buying, selling, learning, communicating, ''Do it Yourself'' or help a community member with their auto…..MOTIVE.
